Aversley woods, a short walk from my parent’s place, a small village called Sawtry in Cambridgeshire. Easily accessible from the motorway this ideal little forest is quite popular and is easy to see why. The woods reflect each season of the year which rich colours, great lights and a variety of different trails to explore no matter how long you want to be out and about.
The image selection below was taken over the space of 2 years ranging in every season and covering a wide matter of subjects. Half of the subject matters were the insects which can be found everywhere in Aversley woods with next to little no effort. The wood has a noticeable difference in tree density which has also been brilliant to work with when out with the camera, you can create a heavy forest atmosphere or shoot the sunset through the trees all on a single trip with ease.
